Teacher Recruitment

The Office of Experiential Learning in collaboration with the Faculty of Education welcomes schools, school boards, and agencies to recruit teacher candidates through on campus events. 

In June 2018 we are expecting a total of 191 education students to graduate from the divisions listed below:

Primary/Junior: 99 teacher candidates

  • 10 completing French as a Second Language qualifications

Junior/Intermediate: 51 teacher candidates

  • 17 with a French teachable
  • 3 with a mathematics teachable

Intermediate/Senior: 41 teacher candidates

  • 10 with a mathematics teachable
  • 10 with at least one science teachable (biology, chemistry or general science)
  • 4 with a French teachable

Information for agencies and schools with teaching opportunities outside of Canada

Agencies and boards recruiting teachers to work outside of Canada are invited to attend our annual Job Fair on January 24, 2018.  This event is hosted jointly between the University of Windsor and St. Clair College and is open for students and alumni from both institutions and all programs of study to attend. Canadian Teaching Opportunities Fair

The University of Windsor’s Career Development team in collaboration with the Faculty of Education is hosting a Canadian Teaching Opportunities Fair on January 26, 2018 from 10am-12:30pm.   Schools and school boards with Canadian employment opportunities are invited to join us for FREE to provide our teacher candidates an opportunity to learn about full-time, part-time, and occasional teaching opportunities.
